Bathtub Surface Finishing Workstation

Product Highlights

PT2400 Bathtub Fiberglass Spray-Up Workstation

Equipment & Workstations

Product Overview

PT2400 is an automated fiberglass spray-up workstation designed for bathtub manufacturing. It replaces traditional manual spray-up work with a more stable and efficient production process.

Spray paths are created through drag-teach operation, giving operators a setup method that feels closer to manual spraying while allowing the robot to deliver more consistent results.

The system supports two typical configuration modes: a dual-station standalone setup and a conveyor-integrated production setup. Both can be customized to match the customer’s workshop layout and production method.

It is well suited to bathtub manufacturing and composite spray-up processes that need to:

stabilize fiberglass spray-up quality
reduce labor dependence
improve production efficiency and takt time

Workstation Configuration
How It Works

Spray paths are created through drag-teach operation, allowing the operator to set the motion path in a way that follows the manual spray-up process.

The system converts the taught path into robot control instructions, and the robot then executes the spray-up task automatically. This helps maintain a more stable and repeatable production process.

In a dual-station setup, the workstation can switch between two stations to improve equipment utilization. In a conveyor-integrated setup, it can work together with the transfer system to support continuous automated production.

When product specifications or spray-up requirements change, the spray path can be adjusted quickly through re-teaching.

This workflow helps maintain process consistency while reducing dependence on operator experience.

Core Components
Robot System

The system uses Shincoim’s customized series-connected drag-teach robot to deliver a teaching experience closer to manual operation.

• Drag-teach operation
• Seven-axis structure
• Greater freedom of motion for spray-up work
• Better suited to complex curved surfaces
Positioning & Workstation System

The workstation is equipped with a heavy-duty, high-rigidity servo positioner to support stable workpiece positioning.

• Dual-station / single-station configuration
• Supports conveyor integration
• Improves equipment utilization
• Supports higher spray-up efficiency
Process Monitoring System

The system includes key process-monitoring functions:

• Fiber break detection
• Curing-agent detection
• Supports real-time process stability
Workstation Integration
The workstation can be custom-built around on-site production conditions, including structure, spray-gun configuration, and production format. It can also work with the customer’s existing spray equipment, helping reduce process-migration cost and shorten the path to production.
